    Kennedy Valve is a foundry and computerized machining and assembly operation. We are an industry leader in valves for both water and waste water treatment plants globally.   We offer valves from 3” to 120”.  We have been manufacturing these products in Elmira, New York, for over 125 years. We seek candidates interested in the stability and growth record of Kennedy Valve.  The two positions will be based in Texas (South Texas, Houston, or San Antonio)and Florida (Miami metro area).


    The Regional Treatment Plant Sales Specialist’s core function is to sell all influencers on major “plant” projects within his or her assigned geography.  The Regional Treatment Plant Specialist shall be able to prioritize and organize the sales cycle of several projects (typically 20 to 30 at any given time in various stages of influence) in their assignment.  The Specialist will utilize the company provided CRM system to organize goals and objectives as well as to document sales call activity.  The treatment plant specialist will be someone that is comfortable calling on design engineers, municipal executives and managers, as well as an installing contractor.   The Plant Specialist needs to be able to ask for the order and get results.


    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.

    • Formal technical education or technical experience preferred.

    • Overnight travel throughout your assigned geography typically at least 50% of the time.

    • Familiarity with water and waste water treatment plant construction is highly desired.

    • Organized with a minimum of two years’ experience selling specifiable products or a candidate that meets our education requirements of new or recent graduates.

    • Recent college graduates will be considered if they have had class work related to construction, such as plan reading, estimating, mechanical systems or sales, the later will require the ability to prove or demonstrate mechanical aptitude.   Recent grads would be placed into a sales trainee assignment where the first six months will be spent in house in Elmira, NY.  The next six months assigned to a mentor in the field.  Upon successful completion of the sales training process the trainee will be assigned a specific geography of their own.
