  • Overview

    The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day to day operations over his assigned shift. Responsibilities include managing projects, preventative maintenance activities, employee relations, upholding relevant policies and procedures, maintaining and improving safety standards, and communications with management regarding activities and issues identified in the department. Overtime is required and a commitment to project completion in times of need is essential. Excellent working knowledge of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics

    Responsibilities

    Supervise 6-10 union maintenance employees
    Coordinate jobs based on preventive maintenance, production needs, and improvements
    Maintain consistent operation of equipment and facilities on shift
    Assure all safety procedures are followed
    Assure required communications and training takes place through employee huddles
    Track time and attendance, department changes, probationary periods
    Assure team has tools, instructions, and manpower for projects
    Assist Manager in planning and implementing shutdowns
    Assist in grievance proceedings when required
    Conformance to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and standards.

    Qualifications

    Two years supervisory experience or five years maintenance experience in a Foundry
    Certification or technical degree in related area preferred
