The Environmental Technician will have responsibility for assisting the Environmental Department with compliance documentation, logging into databases, control and upkeep of work instructions, monitoring and recordkeeping for the division’s environmental program, permit monitoring, data collection, and testing systems for environmental control.
Input information into the company’s environmental management system (EMS).
Audit/update and assure work instructions are tied in with company environmental policies.
Interact as needed with the hourly associates for environmental issues and compliance.
Professional interaction with division and corporate management.
Oversee the updates and reporting of required documentation
Conformance to Quality Management Systems (QMS) and standards.
AAS Degree in Environmental Science with engineering coursework desired.
Two years as an Environmental Assistant/Technician preferably in metal casting, metal fabrication, metal forming/stamping industries.
Working knowledge of air pollution control equipment desired.
Ability to pass an EPA Method 9 opacity reading desired.
Professionalism, Responsible, Attention to detail.
Ability to Climb stairs, ware respirator, light manual labor.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) desired.
