  • Overview

    The Manufacturing Services Manager oversees daily production to include direction of personnel. Responsible to the production department for the maintenance of tooling and fixtures. (i.e. – core boxes, patterns, CNC fixtures, etc.).

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise machinist work to complete production and repair of production tools and fixture
    • Provide technical insight for the development of Manufacturing Service Department personnel.
    • Provide prototype assistance and troubleshooting, oversee design of prototype tooling, and installation/modification of prototype tooling.
    • Responsible for priority setting and workload scheduling for the personnel and machines within the Manufacturing Services Department.
    • Comprehensive project management
    • Reduce unnecessary production interruptions and continually improve the performance of personnel, machinery, and tooling.

     

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Associates Degree in Manufacturing Technology or in a related field required.
    • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
    • Applicable Engineering Software (i.e. Solidworks and/or other CAD Software)
    • Ability to create, read, analyze and interpret drawings
    • Experience with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing Principles and Project Management.
    • Demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills.
    • Proven results to develop a team, and working cohesively within a team.

    • Potential for alternating rotation of 1st and 2nd shifts.
    • Minimal travel requirements to other McWane facilities and suppliers.
